Hmmm. I never saw any mixed reviews. And I don't remember mine being all that expensive.

I like the sharpener. I have one I bought from connecting threads (I think) It's manual and cost ten bucks. I use it frequently, like honing up a knife.

I have one and I find it medicore at best. It sharpens the blade for a little bit, but, still find a few places it misses. Not worth the money

I have one and think found it to be pretty useless. The sharpened edge does not hold long, dead spots still remain and they are expensive. I take my blades to a professional knife sharpener. He hones the blades thus they are much sharper than when new. He charges only $2/ blade. Check your yellow pages.

Sorry to say I have one. I do not like it. To me they are worthless.

I didn't realize a knife sharpener could work on them. Thanks for the tip. That is what I will do.

I use my super dull ones or ones with dead spots to cut paper.

I have a cheap blue one fron Joanns. It helps but not like new and you do have to twist it alot of times and turn the blade over and twist alot again.

I've been wondering about them too, I think maybe I'll just buy a couple of new blades.
