I have been curious - I have read all of the things about rotary (plain) blades and getting dull, replacement, etc. -
I couldn't help but wonder - with a pinking blade - don't those get dull also? Or do they last longer because you probably don't use them as much? I have wanted one and think it would be neat but wondered about is. Thanks for your thoughts.

I have a pinking rotary blade and I don't use it that much. I got it for the times I don't feel like serging fabrics before washing. I have to say that I don't like it that much. It's hard to hold against a ruler and it doesn't seem to cut through the whole length of the fabric, so I don't use it very much.

I needed a pinking blade for a craft project & got one that was with the paper crafting/scrapbooking supplies. It was 1/2 the price of the pinking blade with the rotary supplies for fabric & I cut a lot of fabric with it.

they are a little harder to use, and they probably dull just as quickly (as far as - how many times you use it) but seem to last longer because you seldom use it...to me my pinking shears are much easier than that blade.

Great - thank you, that was what I was curious about.
Thanks everybody. :-)

Just repaced my pinking rotary blade after about 12 yrs with it....the only reason I had to replace it was because I accidently ran it over a pin I did not know was still in the fabric. Really don't use it that often but when I need it I am glad to have it.
