What do you all do with the old blades when there replaced with new? I am collecting them in a plastic container. I would like to dispose of them.... but where. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

I keep mine in one of those tin mint cans that kindof snap shut. I'm not sure where to dispose of either. I think when I've filled it, I'll wrap it up in a plastic bag, maybe put that inside a ziploc bag, and just put in the garbage. I've not heard of anyplace that recycles them.

I've been collecting mine forever...I don't think I've ever thrown them out.

Mine are in the little plastic snap-close containers that they came in when I bought them.

I wrap mine in duct tape and put them in the trash.

You can take them to your local trash pickup company. Or at least you can here. You can also put them into sharps containers and also take them to your trash company. Some stores that have pharmacies will also recycle your sharps containers. But I would make sure that the entire blade is taped really well so no one gets cut with them even before putting them into a sharps container. But I am not positive, but I think its illegal to put them into your regular household garbage can, but I could be wrong. So I would just call your trash pickup company and see what they say.

Here I place them marked in the garbage like I do my insulin syringes. In the recycle bin. I don't know what they do with them from there.

Thanks.... I also keep them in the snap plastic things they come in. I'm on my third one. Some good ideas. I'll be giving the trash company a call. And to see if there's a knife sharpening company in my area.

My Dr. has a sharp bin in his patient room so every yearly physical I take all the used blades and needles there.

That is a great idea! I have been keeping mine in the cases the new ones come in. Now with Harbor Freight blades, no cases!!
