Do you have any Harbor Freight Tools? Here is the web site for carpet blades that fit a 45 mm rotary cutter http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...q=carpet+blade

Have you tried LP Sharp? Are there any Harbor Freight stores near you? Have you tried e-bay?

I am in Ontario and we have 7 Len's Mills stores in Southern Ontario. Their Olfa blades are $6 but their Komfort Kut blades (distributed by H.A. Kidd) and Tailorform Replacement blade (distributed by Symak Sales) which fit Olfa cutters are $2.99 and once in awhile are on sale for $2 which is when I buy at least a dozen. I sharpen each blade at least three times with my Orbitol sharpener (not as good as new but not bad). Last month I found Fiskars blades 60 mm on for $2.99 too. I don't think Len's Mills stores are in the west but you might be able to find the other two brands of blades I mentioned and they are a lot less than Olfa blades.

If any Canadians want Harbor Freight Tools blades, send me a PM. I will order them and send them to you for cost. They don't ship to Canada, ladies!! I already did this for one board member and she was thrilled to get them!! They come out to about $1.50 US each including sending to you. Let me know!! :-)

Our Fabricana store has a 50% off notions sales on STATS.... that's when I pick up my blades. Maybe you can find something equivalent to that in Alberta?

Hey there Janice....waving to my blade buddy! Janice may be talking about me! She helped me get some blades from Harbor Freight, and yes, I am thrilled. I haven't had a problem with mine.

Yes, there's a much better deal out there! The sharpest (which require less hand pressure), long lasting blades rotary blades available in the maketplace today. They're made in Japan of high grade, tungsten Japanese steel by KAI and priced at $6.99 with free delivery in the States and no sales tax.
