I won't know if something is better for me unless I try it. So if within reason and my budget I buy it to find out. Not long ago I saw this and thought how would that make much difference. It was on sale so I ordered it. I use it now all the time. It really makes pressing open seams a breeze. It is a clapper too so it is sturdy and won't move while pressing. I have a regular clapper but this one is longer and heavier.

My new rotary cutter with ball bearings came last week and I've been using it every day. It works quite smoothly. My old one is standing by, forlorn.

Does the Famore' use special blades? Or will it use what I have?
|
It comes with a Missouri Star blade and I have used those in all my cutters. I took my blade off to clean fuzz and put the knobs on backwards. It won't work that way. Each knob goes on a certain side. I wish all cutters were this easy to change blades I have the quick change Olfa and still get confused.

Ok. Y'all convinced me! My new ball-bearing rotary cutter (from Missouri Star) arrived yesterday. I'm officially in love with a rotary cutter. My arthritic fingers will love it even more!

Over the years, I have built up a library of dies for my accuquilt Go So, I don't have to use my rotary cutter that much anymore. Ha, I didn't like quilting until the rotary cutters came out and now, I am spoiled by the machine.

This is so strange- I tried to order one from Missouri Star but nothing comes up. Where did you all buy them? TY

Right! My Accuquilt is as important as my sewing machine. Best tool for quilting in the last few decades. |

I believe Missouri Star sells it under their own brand. Here's a link.
