How do you keep the rotary blades sharp? I tried the sharpener thingies but doesnt seem to work for me. I use lots of blades when I am quilting and they get expensive.

Try cutting tinfoil with them. It works for me.

Go to houseofhanson.com, you can get blades VERY reasonable there.

When they get a little dull, I flip the blade and get a little more wear out of them. Then I just throw away and put a new one. Sharpening has never worked for me.

Here is a link for blades online if that will help. Good prices.

I bought a huge lot of them on Ebay - all olfa blades. I want to say I got 100 blades for like $50 or so - a few friends of mine and I went in on the purchase :)

Gee that was a good buy

You sound just like me!!! I think a touch of A.D.D. gets in my way because I am so easily sidetracked. :)

I get mine on ebay, once 10 for $10 then 25 for $37. :D

I'm afraid to go on Ebay and look. I know I'll end up spending money on fabric. I always do. Oh well, there are worse things I could be doing. Tee Hee

Me, too! I wonder if this is just a fluke or happens more often than we know? It's happened a handful of times over the years to me. Quality Control issue maybe?

I just type in Olfa Rotary Cutting blades, you just have to check often. They have always come in original packaging, brand spanking new, sharp as a tack. I checked prices at JoAnn's, they were over $5 ea. :(
