I love using jewel tones with black on most of my quilts and it is actually easier to see the edges of my material against the white then the green of my other mats! If I was cutting white or light material, I would probably put my 18x24 green Olfa mat on it.

I have to agree I love this mat! It's the same feel as the regular mat I use and it's not as thick and bulky as other spinning mats. I had a June Tailor one that I disliked, the mat was to hard and thin that I could feel the spinner plate underneath as I cut.

Your mat looks thick, do you feel the spinner underneath?

No, there is a base of plexiglass (or acrylic) that the mat sits on. It't constructed much differently from the June Taylor one.

Their largest mat is actually less expensive then others of the same size and it is really nice to have on a large table.
