Rowenta ironing board

My 40 yr old ironing board I bought when I was 20 has been on it's last legs for about a year now. So I checked facebook marketplace and low and behold there was a $200 Rowenta ironing board in brand new condition selling for $30! It was an hour drive but it's now in my sewing room!

I didn’t know they made ironing boards, but I love my iron.

Nice grab ! I own 4 ironing boards. Mom gave me #1 she got with Green Stamps when we were married 54 years ago. It’s seen hard use and still sturdy. It saw 12 years of National Guard uniforms besides every day use. I stripped Mom’s wood ironing board down and painted an American flag on it - hangs by our door all Summer. I will take Grandma’s to an artist near me & have her do something for Fall. Ironing board #4 was my other Grandma’s. It’s lower & narrower than most. I use it often for shirts.

Christine, great deal!
Can you show us a pic? I didn't know they made one.

Can you tell us what makes a Rowenta ironing board so special? I've never seen one or even knew they existed.

It's professional, extremely sturdy, made out of strong steel thus making it a bit heavy. It's got an 18" wide surface and you can iron a fat quarter really easily, no re-positioning. It can be raised higher than a normal ironing board and it's just built better. There is no wobble at all. The cover is also sewn better with higher quality materials.

Sounds like you got a great bargain...I didn’t know that Rowenta made ironing boards either.

Christine- I must have a knock off of the Rowenta ironing board because mine from Walmart is a quilters ironing board and looks like the Rowenta. Mine does wobble a bit.
