Has anyone heard of a "Ruffler" sewing machine? My husband's secretary’s mother has one for sale. She paid $500.00 for it, and wants to sale it for $75.00. I've seen the attachments you can buy to make ruffles, but I haven't heard of a ruffler sewing machine. Any help would be great.
Thanks to all, Beckie

I have never heard of it. Is it a modern machine or vintage?
Can you possibly get anymore information or a picture.

If it is a vintage machine then it most likely is a badge name. What that means is that a sewing machine company put a store or some other name on the machine they made.

With out a picture or more description its really hard to say what she has. Hope you find out

You could always take a look at it with no obligation to buy it!

I have never heard of them, I have a ruffler attachement for my machine.

I'm wondering if it's an industrial machine set up just for ruffling. Factories would have that kind of machine -- for example, to make ruffled curtains.

I'd jump on that deal!

I tried to look it up online, and it showed 2 machines...1 was an industrial, the other was an old singer...I just don.t know. The lady that's selling it is supposed to bring a picture to my hubby...at least until I can go see it in person. Thanks for the in-put everyone.

oh yes...they were industrial and very HOT to have in the 80's during the "country" decor rage... it should be a steal at that price! BUT how many ruffles are you going to make in your life time...those machines were designed to make those lovely country ruffled curtains..MILES of ruffles...nowadays they are used to mainly make costumes/ ballet outfits, anything with multiple layers of netting/tulle to make the POOF factor explode!
