Ruler question

We had a discussion about this ruler before, but I couldn't find where. Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. Its a large square ruler with slots around the perimeter to draw a line to help trim up blocks evenly. Its got a hefty price tag from what I remember. Sound familiar? What's it called? Thanks

I believe it is the June Taylor shape cut

Are you sure the slots were there to draw lines? Did it square up any block or just a specific one, like a HST? I'm wondering if it was the discussion on Bloc Loc HST rulers. There are no slots, but there is a groove that sits over the seam and allows you to trim perfect HSTs. They are pricey.
Other than that, June Taylor has quite a few different rulers with cutting slots.

I don't remember the post. I saw something this year that I thought was EB but it was for a specific quilt pattern. I just use square up rulers to trim my blocks. There were these items posted on Nancy's Notions:

June Tailor also offers a Perfect HST ruler. It has the grooves. etc. Just google it.

It is called the block marker tool. I bought mine from Nancy's notions. And you are right it does have a hefty price. I paid 49.99. I haven't used it that much at all.

It is the Block Marker Ruler. I have both sizes. One of the best tools I have.

Here is a video how to use them:

I think you might be referring to this post about the June Tailor Grid Marker:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...t-t269358.html

It only marks one direction, so you'd need to pick it up, line up the horizontal line with your traced edge & then trace again. It's $30 at JAF without a coupon, so it's not terribly expensive. I've never used it, so I can't say how well it would work.

Personally, if I had a decent sum of money to buy something to square up various sized blocks, I'd buy the Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Adjustable Square ($75). http://www.karenkaybuckley.com/store.php?cat=13

I have the Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Adjustable Ruler set. It is not like the Block Marker ruler. The Block Marker gives you 1/4" seam lines when one block may be off from another.

I have to say the Karen Buckley ruler set comes in the prettiest storage box I've seen.

Wow! I just watched the video. I'm just not perfectionistic enough to want to use a tool like this.
