How do you keep your rulers from slipping on the fabric when rotary cutting? I get frustrated when the ruler slips and then the fabric is not cut straight.

I don't put anything on the back of them although I know there are several products around that are very good to use. I simply put my pinky finger off the edge of the ruler onto the fabric. I also place my hand more in the middle of the section I am cutting. For example, if the fabric is 24", I will place my hand at about 10"-12" up from the bottom edge of the fabric. I hope that makes sense. I haven't had any problems with slippage.

I really like the clear plastic dots. They grip well, stay put and you can see through them. I found the sand paper dots didn't make enough of a difference. I have used Invsi- grip but it is more expensive if you have a lot of rulers. I also prefer the rulers with the little ledge at the end (O'Lipfa is one brand) that actually grips your cutting board. They are my favourites because they decrease slipping even without adding the plastic dots.

try emery boards ,will not hamper seeing

I found the plastic that you cover the ruler with is the best.
