I made a charity quilt using prewashed fabric. Now I am wondering if the spray basting used in sandwiching in it is safe around babies.

I have used it. Just wash it after you have finished and you should be good.

It depends on the basting spray. The one that I use from hancocks isnt.

Yep, I use it all the time, and this is what I do too.... Wash after quilting ;)

I have used 505 for two baby quilts. After washing there was no trace of anything. However, there is not, IMO, a strong odor to 505. I use it in my basement. If a basting spray has a strong odor I might be concerned about something lingering.

i use 505 also..no problem, just wash it first.

I used it on the baby quilt that I finished this last weekend. I just washed it when it was completed and it is fine...
