Sampler Book

I'm interested in a book of sampler blocks, like a Dear Jane. Does anybody have any recommendations?

TIA
Dorian

Im doing Sylvias Bridal Sampler. I really like it, and think it will be a very pretty quilt.

This one is awesome b/c it gives you measurements to produce blocks in several sizes. The Dear Jane book (I just recently purchased) has applique and hand pieced 4"? blocks and is a very unique book. I also feel like it is more advanced than making typical pieced blocks.

If you are looking to make the Dear Jane quilt, get that book. If you are looking for a reference for tons of different blocks, the one from my link is great. You can get alot of block patterns for free on line but I love to peruse books.

I'm not sure this is exactly what you're looking for but the first quilting class I took was taught out of a sampler book by Diane Leone (I think it was just called The Sampler Quilt or something similar). I loved the book so much & found it so helpful that when I wore my first one out, I bought a new one! Just my two cents worth...

I love Syvlia Bridal Sampler.

I like the trip around the block books, they have 501 different blocks and have the measurements for making each block in different sizes. My very best favorite book.

This book is really neat. The blocks are 8". The CD has templates, PP patterns, some rotary cut directions, & line drawings. We are on the 17th week but ya could join where we are & catch up later. You don't even have ta do the 2 a week we are. (I'm behind by 7 blocks but no one cares.) We have 2 threads a week a photo page & a discussion page. We go off topic a lot. :) Come & join us.

There is a book on Dear Jane quilts. Go to www.dearjane.com.
Otherwise there are many blocks to be found on-line. Good luck!
