A Sampler of Quilting Patterns on One Quilt
Recently, I was watching a show about old-timey quilters and I saw a quilt that was not quilted in just one style, but in several styles, all on the same quilt. I thought that was different and interesting. She had straight lines in one corner, swirls in another corner, boxes, circles, stippled, etc. It made the back of the quilt very interesting to look at.

I like sampler quilting on a sampler quilt - I quilt each block individually as if it were its own little quilt. It's fun!

I made a QAYG with a mandala in each block. Then I quilted each one in different straight lines (mostly). Some were FMQ outlined following the design. Super fun! I bought the straight line stitching book. DH loved the black background, so it is his!

I like this method because you don't get bored, or frustrated for too long.
