Congrats, Merry Christmas early. I have the same exact machine and I love it. Haven't had a problem so far, love all the decorative stitches and things. Sure wish that it had a larger throat area though and a stitch regulator. I hope you have many years of enjoyment and don't forget that you don't even have to oil it ever, everything is permanently sealed.

YES!!! Of course you must try it out. My Hubby did the same thing and is more than happy to see me using mine early.
