Does anyone have the Sapphire 870Q machine from Husqvarna? I'm going to go & try it out hopefully on Monday & just wondered if anyone had any feed back. Thanks.

I have just bought one about a month ago and am delighted with it, I am still finding out what does what. I bought it from a shop about an hours drive away and when I went to pick it up I got a couple of hours with the owner of the shop who showed me round the machine, I think a couple of days would have been better, but she is very good and if I have any questions I just phone her up and she is only too happy to help. As I work full time I am only learning slowly, but I know a couple of other members have this machine and will be able to advise you better than me.

Hi, I am always reading the forums here and love it. I do have a Sapphire 870 and it is my favorite. My husband bought it for me after my old machine (brother) needed work. I do alot of applique and this is wonderful for it. I am on it at least every day. I am always trying to learn new things and this machine has been wonderful for me. I am sure you won't be disappointed

I have the Husqvarna Platnium 750 and I looooooooooooove my machine!! Husqvarnas have a great reputation. You will have great enjoyment from your machine!

I tried one at the LQS during one of our classes. It was a great machine. I have a Viking Designer 2 and love it!

Thanks ladies, I decided to buy one today, it's not out of the box yet, but hopefully I'll have a few moments to unwrap it later. I've had a Husqvarna Lily 540 since 1998 and have always enjoyed it.

I bought a Sapphire 870 in October. So far so good. I have been too busy at work to really do anything fancy on it yet. I thought that it didn't like Thread art brand thread but then I found out (read the fine print) that with the walking foot on I have to lower the pressure foot pressure. I did and wah-lah! perfect stitches. Spent a few hours pulling my hair out as well as a lot of stitches over that one. I think I made a good buy though.

I love my sapphire 870. I've been able to finish three quilt tops and machine quilt one of those since gettting it. Haven't done any actual sewing with the fancy stuff yet, but I've played with it and can see all kinds of posibilities.

Thanks for the info about the walking foot johnette. Haven't got one yet but it's next on my list of accessories.

I haven't mastered free motion quilting yet, so with out the walking foot I don't know how I'd quilt. I thought it was a little pricey, around $50.00. But I use it a lot. Did you buy any accessories at all yet?
