Hi does anyone else have one of these? It is made by babylock and does a stitch that REALLLY looks like hand quilting. It is all bobbin work, there is no top thread. I know, I know you're all gonna say "oh my machine does a hand quiting stitch" but that involves clear thread that is on the top and the bobbin thread pulled up. This machine does a stitch then skips then does a stitich etc no thread of any kind betweenthe bobbin stitches. It does only this! But OMG it does it so well.... They are brand new and there is await to get one. I love mine. Pricey, but I am worth it LOL

Interesting! What kind of price range?

I have checked it out at my local dealer and it is on my wish list, lol. I really do like the effect.

I thought this machine was used to make the Japanese Sashiko designs on fabric. Didn't realize it could be used to quilt through 3 layers.

Do a search here using the search feature. I've started a couple of threads about it. It doesn't have good reviews from what I've found, though:< And it's very expensive.

Better not, Candace. I need another machine like I need a hole in the head. lol

Me too, my dear! But if you have 2 grand for a machine that does one stitch, it's right up your alley;>

Sounds fascinating.I just know the cost will be greater than my pocket book can handle. Still I would love to see some stitch samples. :)

If it's anything like the one I saw at LQS, then the stitch looks just like a handstitch. An absolutely perfect handstitch. Lovely, but sitting at a machine to get a handstitch defeats the purpose of a handstitched quilt.
