Do any of you have a Shashiko machine that duplicates a hand quilting stitch? Comments pro and con please.

There are a lot of threads on this. Do a search using the search feature above. It's pricey for the one thing it does and the back is an, IMO, unattractive chain stitch. No thanks...

I've looked at these and I think they are 'one trick ponies'. It's my understanding that they only do a Sashiko stitch. Depends on how many projects you will do to determine if it's worth it.

This has been discussed before. You can do a search on Sashiko Machine to see other comments.

Doesnt it do a chain stitch? I wonder how well it would stay put and not unravel

Isn't there a new Baby-Lock that does a "hand stitch" stich (in addition to all the other stitches)? Would that do what you want?
