Sashing a Biscuit

I'm in the midst of putting together my rows for a biscuit/puff quilt. I may need to extend the length of it. I've searched for any pictures or guides that would show these puffy rows with sashing between them but haven't found any. Would you recommend extending it this way or just adding borders once it's completed? Thank you

my first thought is that biscuit quilts usually don't have batting other than the stuffing in the biscuits. so there won't be extra thickness where the sashing is. i guess i'd try to put borders with batting on at the finish.

I agree. The texture between the biscuits & the sashing would be so different that the quilt would flop all over the place. I would go with a border and double batt it.

I just recently finished two biscuit quilts. Over the years I have about a dozen or so. I would not think sashing would work or look good at all. zif you want it bigger, best way is to make more biscuits. It takes way to long and too much time put into the making to not be happy with the results.
