I am looking for a sewing table and have seen lots of these online but none in the stores. My question is does anyone have one of these and how do they like them, I see walmart has it for 99.00

I have a table by Sauder. I think mine was called a "craft station". It works okay buy is only about 12-14 inches wide so if you are working on a large item it gets a little crowded.

yes i believe it is called a sewing craft table, it is on wheels and closes up so it looks like a cabinet and open a sewing station.how do u like yours

I spent the bucks and bought a full cabinet with 4 drawers, swing arms with extensions that give me a 6' x 8' work area. It also has a hydraulic lift so the machine can be recessed in the cabinet. Would I spend that much money again. NO. I could get by with one of the Sauders.

I think I was adding information as you asked your question. It works great for piecing but when I work on larger items I wish it was wider.

I have one and really like it. It's very sturdy and it does fold in on itself to make a cabinet. It has lots of storage areas and one side has deep shelves. My sewing machine sits on top of it, it doesn't have a recessed area to put the machine in. When I piece, this isn't a problem. For machine quilting, my DH made a platform out of insulation boards and plastic so then the machine is level with the surface.
I got mine at Walmart about 2 yrs ago for about that price and I'm pleased with it.

I have one. Is it the one with the extension that can be folded out to make it bigger? Sounds like it anyway. I love mine.

Wish you guys lived closer. The Sauder's company is just 30 minutes from my house and they have the most wonderful, beautiful outlet store. We have bought a lot of their shelving and some desks. The only thing I caution, you know they aren't made of solid wood so if you add weight for a long period of time, it will sag, such as bookshelves. I have a file cabinet that is holding up very well, but it isn't large. And bookshelves have no supports to speak of, desks are better supported.

I have the same one you are ordering. I couldn't find a better piece in the same price range. I had hubby cut a hole in the top of mine and put a shelf at the right level to sit my machine in so the bed is level with the top of the table.

I don't think I've ever closed mine up except when I moved it from one side of the room to the other.

As for having more surface area to help hold up the weight of large quilts--I keep a table just to my left all the time and put another small table just in front of my cabinet when quilting a large quilt. Works great! And if you really want an airlift; you can by one and install it yourself.
