 I have just got into making blue jean quilts im on my 4th one and now i have all the back pockets saved up any suggestions what to do with them

You could sew them onto a scrappy picknick quilt to hold utensils and napkins.

Or sew them onto bright kid fabric for a "pocket quilt" to hide/keep small toys in.

Or cut them square and make a 4-patch or 9-patch.

A friend of mine made a few of those and used the pockets to cover corners that were not so perfect, sewing around the hole pocket instead of just 3 sides, since it would get caught otherwise.

I have seen them sewn onto a block with a "hankie" sticking out. The hankie was sewn into the pocket but left free at the top. Very cute.

I've seen quilts that have the pockets on the denim. Also they could be used on placemats to hold utencils,

Just a thought. Scroll down a little and you will find a use for lots of denim pockets.

I have always wanted to make a quilt with pockets. I would just alternate them with flannel in a rag quilt. I thought I would make flannel and jean squares with at least 1/2 of the jean ssquares being the pockets. Then alternate them flannel up, flannel down, finally washing and drying the quilt. The pockets would be fun places to tuck small things like gum, mints, pencils and pens. Just an idea

If you have a young kid in family you could make a quiltthat you could put diffrent things in the pockets an have the things double.Like a memory game.I bit they would really like it an have a lot of fun with one.

I have seen potholders made out of the bigger pockets. They were real cute. I have saved the pockets & made a tote bag & sewed them on it. Ya'll have got to look at that site posted about stuff you can do with denims. The dresses are quite creative but man it would be like wearing a suit of armour because of the weight. Your laugh for the day. Look at all the pictures.

Star, I really like that wall organizer idea. This would be neat too to hang over the back of the front seats of the car to store the kid crayons, snacks... where they could reach them. Good idea! Thanks for sharing. I get so many good ideas from this board. Thanks All!
