Was browsing at a local thrift store and found a bundle of fabric for $2.99.
Tag indicated 2 pieces , one 6 yds by 17" and another smaller one. I thought since I was just making a lot of strips quilts lately that would work. Another one was labled 1.50 and seemed to be labeled smaller piece. When I got home and opened them....Lo and Behold. the little one was a full yard of a lovely little print. But the other one..............................6 FULL YARDS of a lovely blue cotton. First big score of 2014.....

Sweet! I love shopping thrift stores for sewing supplies. You never know what you're going to find. I haven't hit any deals as good as that yet though.

How wonderful!! I love thrift stores too. It's like a treasure hunt. Sometimes I drive by the thrift store and it seems to call to me.

What good luck! At our local Goodwill stores, they have started tying up little bundles of scraps and pricing them at $4.99. I saw a bin of these on Saturday and couldn't believe they want so much for so little.
