I just received this link and wanted to share it with you. http://web.mac.com/merryquilts/Doubl...rapControl.pdf

Thanks! This just might help me out a little. :)

This should be helpful for anyone with boxes of scraps! I think I have OCD. My scraps are cut into strips and squares and I have stacking drawers, 9 high, with my strips and squares sorted by size in each drawer and then by color inside the drawer, lights to the left, darks on the right. My daughter laughs at me! I also have my buttons sorted by size and color and stored in bead boxes.

Some good info. Thanks

Yoohoo! Chubby Bunny! We need a new acronym added to the list SCD. (Scrap Control Day) I feel one coming on. Thanks for posting that link LivelyLady!

Thanks for this. I'm keeping it after dragging out some bags of scraps a couple of nights ago and realizing that I have enough scraps to probably make at least 10 quilts. Once again thank you LivelyLady.

Wanna come organize my place?

"Scrap Control"...sounds like some kind of secret government organization. Perhaps a branch of the "Quilt Police"?

Thank you for sharing this link. I will be marking my calendar, and trying this, but it may be a bit confusing.

Does this make sense to you? Here is what I have done so far:

anything half a yard or larger goes on my organized shelves.
Charm squares are in another set of shelves by color, in different baskets.
It is the strips and the chunks and packs I have troubke with, so I will just keep going.

Good stuff!! Right now I just sort my scraps by color, though I have considered doing it by size. I like to use my scraps for applique though, so by color makes more sense for that.

Cheers!
Rachel
