White (light), medium and dark. After I started it I decided I might be crazy. Keeping the medium and dark squares separated was nuts. Finally I put them in separate brown lunch bags and wrote Med and Dark on the side. Now, all I have to do is reach inside the bag and pull out a square. Keeps me from trying to color coordinate them. It is truly scrappy. I have 8 blocks finished, 102 to go. I haven't done the Double Irish Chain before and I think I'm really going to like it. I'll post pictures when the top is finished.

"I'm crazy but it keeps me from going insane". Just about fits us quilters more often than not. |
Looking good! I'd found a picture of one I wanted to make, so I cut out a lot of 2" squares and am using them as headers and enders to get started on this project. Hopefully I'll have several ready after I finish all the quilts I'm soing for Christmas gifts.

Looking forward to seeing pictures.

At my quilt club we did the Triple Irish Chain all in scrappy. There was 15 that did light and med light, and 15 that did med dark and dark. They all turned out beautiful. Most of us did the queen, but believe me it is 91 1/2" by 115", which is border line king. I haven't had it quilted yet, so it will shrink some. What we did, all 30 of us, brought 60 strips and then each of us handed them out 2 at a time. We really enjoyed doing the quilt. Good luck on your scrappy quilt. Ann
