scrappy quilt design needed

I would like some suggestions from the forum. I have about 40 6" squares that I would like to use for a lap quilt. what are some easy patterns to use, more than just sewing in a row? thanks for any suggestions.

I can't help you with a design, but I know someone will be on here soon to help you. There is always someone to help you.

use them as centers of stars. 40 would give you a decent size quit.

What about a D4P?

Bonnie Hunter is the queen of scrap quilts. Take a look under the free patterns tab at her site www.quiltville.blogspot.com

sorry, I now see that you need 6.5 pieces, so this pattern won't work

This one has always been on my "to do" list

How about a Diamond Patch? Calls for 5" charms but I think you could substitute 6" without a problem or you could just trim them down.

Here is the one I did. I didn't buy the pattern, figured it out on my own. Just 5" squares, 9 patch blocks made out go 2 1/2" squares set on point and setting and corner triangles

Oooohhhhh, that is a pretty quilt! I love the purples but very scrappy would be cute, too.

A very prety quilt, aunt.

OP, as already mentioned, a Disappearing 9 Patch would work well with your squares.
