Jo M 07-13-2011 10:53 AM

I do sometimes...depending on how it looks.

vjengels 07-13-2011 10:56 AM

I use Holiday prints, I like that all my quilts are connected to each other. I still have some fabrics from when I first started.

joym 07-13-2011 11:10 AM

I do not usually add holiday prints or children's prints in scrappy quilts.

pipp5 07-13-2011 11:13 AM

Just depends on the color.

blueangel 07-13-2011 11:50 AM

Sometimes.

thank you all

I use what ever scraps I have. I noticed once that I had used some glow in the dark print scraps from p.j.'s that I made for my grandsons one year. It just made me smile. (It was for my own bed though)

I will throw it in if it's cute, Halloween and other Holidays too if it looks good to me.

Elsie 07-13-2011 04:31 PM

thank you

meemersmom 07-13-2011 04:34 PM

I made one that was nothing but holiday prints. Imagine if you will Easter, Halloween, 4th of July, Christmas, Hanakah, etc., all together. It was for my nephew. He calls it his "Happy Everything" quilt.

nyelphaba 07-13-2011 05:20 PM

I do.

luvTooQuilt 07-13-2011 06:19 PM

Oh, you mean colored fabric with holiday themes. If they fit, use it.

deedum 07-13-2011 07:18 PM

it all works :)

katesnanna 07-13-2011 08:45 PM

Scraps are scraps- Isn't that the point.

OneMoreQuilt 07-13-2011 10:07 PM

I do sometimes. I made one scrappy quilt entirely from seasonal fabrics. Works for every month!!!

pollyjvan9 07-14-2011 06:20 AM

If I am making what I call a "true" scrap quilt, I use everything, holiday, childrens, theme, whatever scraps I have.

quiltgran2 07-14-2011 07:37 AM

Me. I feel that a scrappy quilt means any design and any color whatsoever unless of course I'm doing a "controlled" scrappy whereby I use only certain designs, say plaids, or batiks, or 30's, and a certain color scheme.

carslo 07-14-2011 08:01 AM

I was working on the dryer sheet scrappy blocks last night and have Christmas and Halloween incorporated into the blocks. They are scrappy right?

quilter1 07-14-2011 08:07 AM

I do.

nycquilter 07-14-2011 10:03 AM

I use whatever scraps are the right size and don't really pay attention to the fabrics themselves.

kwhite 07-14-2011 10:04 AM

I don't think any of my scrappy quilts DON'T have holiday prints in them.

Elsie 07-15-2011 10:13 AM

thank you all then everything goes i think i call it a happy scrappy and have fun enjoy your quilting
