Scrappy Warm Wishes?

Has anyone done a warm wishes quilt using a focus fabric but then using scappy (lots of different fabrics) for the strips? Just wondering, as I have some lovely fabrics that could be the focal fabric, but most of my other fabric stash is fat quarters - so not enough to make all the strips with the same three fabrics.

I have not, but I think it would be great as a scrappy. Go for it!

I think it would work out very well. I love scrappies. Maybe all of your FQ will blend with your focal fabric. Please share when you finish.

Sounds fine with.

One of the things I like about Warm Wishes is how the strips of the same colour end up being like a frame around the focus fabric. If you use scraps, you will loose that effect but different is fine too.

i would say that the pattern would be lost by doing scrappy

I think it looks good as a scrappy.

Yes, I agree it works and could make for a great finish.
Though it would be fiddly to avoid mismatches and make sure you get the right colours matched up together to complete the frames. (OOPS for the one in the the top row. :()

Thanks, everyone - and especially for the sample visual! I may just give it a try.
