In search of 1/8th inch fusible bias tape
I have Googled until my Googler is sore and I have found two places that sell it but haven't received replies from either one when I've tried to contact them.
Does anyone know where I can get this? Conversely, I have a 1/4" bias tape maker and the fusible bias tape stuff...I wonder if it would be possible to make 1/4" and then just cut it down? A pain in the bum, but possible? Thanks, Watson PS...in Canada would be great but I'l take in the US if that's all I can get. |
I have used the 1/4" for stained glass look but have no idea about 1/8". That is very small. Are you using it for outline? I think cording may be easier to work with being that narrow.

I purchased some trim at a store in Oregon, black, gold, silver, colored metallics and it seemed as if they had regular colors as well. It was fusible and very "bendy"! I used it for trim on a hot air balloon quilt and it worked very well. I don't think it was referred to as "bias" though. Maybe just very narrow fusible trim??? FOUND IT! Called Hot ribbon (so not bias tape) 1/8" wide, lots of colors! http://softexpressions.com/software/emb/HotRibbon.php

Nancy’s Notions did carry 1/8” some time ago, haven’t looked for any that thin in a few years. Clover makes 1/8” fusible bias tape in a few colors. I will see if I can find any place carrying it....

I did a search, it looks like only 1/4” or larger is available now, guess 1/8” was not used often enough to keep it in production.
