My daughter has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. It is in the very early stages so the outlook looks good. We are all praying for a complete recovery. I would like to make her the breast cancer quilt that has the pink ribbon in it. Does any one know of a website that I could go too and either download a pattern or order it.

Thank you

I "think" I saw one connectingthreads.com. They have a Quilt Pink book that is on sale that has different gift ideas. Hope this helps and best of luck to you, you daughter and your entire family

Roserita - I's sorry to hear about your daughter. Early stage is good with agood outlook. My DS s in her 11th year of remission! Praise God.
She will be in our thoughts and prayers.
There is a website you may be interested in - SisterStudy.com. I volunteered for this life long study because of my sis and because I had four aunts with total mastectomies! and one with lumpectomy.
As far as the quilt, maybe Googleing it will help. I'm sure tehforum here would help if you need. How marvelous to have a quilt from all your budddies here to help her heal. Think about it. Best to you and yours. D

So sorry for your sister and her health problems. The last time I looked, Hancocks of Paducah had the pink breast cancer fabrics you might want to look at.

Thoughts and prayers for your daughter to be cured of cancer.

Kaye Woods has a breast cancer pillow you might want to look at on her site.

Why can't we each make some sort of 12 1/2" pink block and mail them to Roserita to make into the quilt? She could make one pink ribbon block to go with them.

Quiltingmimipj - What a wonderful idea. I'd be more than happy to do this.

I have sent Roserita a private message and told her what we've been discussing on here. I also asked her to let us know what to do with the blocks.

patricej 08-21-2009 09:55 AM

Please remember that the Main section is for quilting related topics only.

Roserita asked us for suggestions/recommendations of block or quilt patterns. Help her by staying on topic, please.

discussion of a potential group project should start again over in the appropriate section, please.

Thank you all for your messages, prayers and advice. Someone on the board mentions making quilt block for a quilt for her. When I told her this she was overhelmed. I was too when I read that post. Such good poeple. I would be happy to recieve blocks for a quilt for her and finish the quilt. I need to know where to post my address.

Thank you all again.

Roserita

This subject has been continued under Pink Ribbon Squares.

Roserita 08-24-2009 12:07 PM

I am not very experianced with the proper use of the board. Is this the place to pm my address, or should I respond to each person seperately?

Thank you,

Roserita

SharonC 08-24-2009 12:16 PM

Roserita - send a PM to quiltingmimipj. She is collecting all the squares and will be sending them on to you. To send a PM, click on the person's name and when the next screen comes up you'll see pm on the left side of the screen. This will allow you to send a message to that person and not everyone on the site will see your address. Hope this helps.
