In Search of PreWound bobbins for the newer Pfaffs that take the newer J bobbiins
Has anyone used prewound bobbins in the Pfaff sewing machines that take the blue J bobbins. Do you think the standard L prewounds bobbins will work?
|
I never use any other bobbin except the exact one the machine calls for.
A service trip for a machine taught me to be careful. |
Do some looking- they do make different size prewound bobbins.

My Pfaff is 5 years old and the L ones work for me.

As you probably already know the Quilt Expression has a different size and design than even other Pfaffs. I will be watching replies to your question to learn along with you. Thanks for asking the question.

They are out there in limited colors, but not easy to find. While I was traveling I bought some pure wound bobbins for my Pfaff QE 4. Now I cannot recall the brand and I discarded the packaging. Ask your Pfaff dealer to order some for you.

I didn't even know there was a "J" bobbin! I'll post if I find any in my internet searches. Looks like bobbins are going the same way cell phone charges are going - they each have their own unique size. I suppose now it won't be long before each sewing machine company has their own bobbin size so we'll have to buy only their bobbins. Which means they'll be more expensive. Ugh. That's gonna make it hard to find bobbins to match colored thread, for sure!
