I did Bear's Paw blocks from plaid flannel shirts. I had the BP blocks alternating with a solid flannel block. I loved that quilt! I used a 'goldish-beigey' for the alternate color block. Unfortunately, I bought the flannel shirts from a discount place. The quality seemed good.
The quilt shop solid flannel still looks great but the shirt flannel started to deteriorate after a few washes.

Yes, that will be a problem for me to find this quality of flannel for the rest of the quilt. I'll have to wash it all, even though I haven't washed this flannel because they said it wouldn't shrink.

Yes, I agree, great job on getting it home on the plane.

I looked at their website now, but couldn't really tell which store it was, however there is a form to contact them to ask at http://vermontflannel.com/contact-us.html So they could tell you which store to go to. It was a factory store as well as an outlet. It's such nice fabric!

Thank-you! I submitted the form so will hear from them soon, I guess.

The East Barre, Ferrisburg and Johnson stores have the scrap bags.
