searching for a pattern
In cleaning out my sewing room, I came across a picture of a quilt I had intended to make and never got around to (sound familiar?) Anyway the name of the quilt is Poinsettia II by Kathleen Pappas and I would love to find the pattern. The picture I have was torn from a magazine and at the bottom of the page, it says Shop online at www.shopquiltvillage.com but that doesn't seem to exist any more. I found one pattern on eBay but it had been sold. Does anyone have any ideas? The quilt is a medallion quilt with a kind of carpenter's wheel looking center surrounded by various blocks. I would really love to find this pattern.

Check ebay again. It looks like it's been relisted.

I googled it and found different patterns at the top of the page where it has images. you may find what you're looking for by looking through the images. What I have done in the past (sometimes it states you can download but for some reason my computer won't) I have taken a photo of the pattern (some are paper-pieced) then upload into computer and print. Sometimes works sometimes not. No harm in trying. Don't want the copyright police knocking at our door. Maybe some one will have the pattern and be able to share with you. Good Luck!

Paper Princess - both of those listings are either closed or ended. And the seller is not available just now. Also, I checked out the images and "my" quilt is not there. I will keep looking. Thanks.

You can save a search for this pattern on eBay and have them email you when a new listing comes up.

FYI..... I just clicked onto the web site you gave and got a "high risk" message. So, beware.

Ebay listing. It says the seller is available tomorrow.

I hope you are able to find it. I know what that's like and have been there before...

Beautiful quilt! Looks like the pattern should be available for purchase on the 4th on Ebay.

prodigy.net is now part of Yahoo. Possibly you could send an email to k[email protected]. I found this about her: http://www.hoffmanchallenge.com/2002...02_judges.html
It seems it's been years since she was active in the quilting world or released any new patterns. |
OK, this is a day late but went into internet and these are some websites I found. http://www.amidonquiltworks.com, www.quiltwoman.com, and www.quiltsbylinda.com the last one is a link to really old patterns (like 1930-40) so I don't know if it will work. Let me know if you found something you liked.

None of those links are like the pattern she is looking for that I could see. |
A little internet slueting and I think Kathleen Pappas is/was a member of the Flying Geese Quilt Guild. She may have passed away.:(

SunQuilts, Can you post the picture?
|
Thanks to everyone who posted suggestions. Unfortunately none of them came up with the pattern I am looking for. And I am not sure how to post a picture from a magazine. If I can figure that out I will try to send a pic.
This is such a helpful group. |
