Maybe it's called something else but when I search the net I get literal signature quilts, like who created them. I am looking for a pattern to make a siggy, any ideas anyone?

The snowball would be really cute, or even a nine patch...

Yes, maybe that's the problem. Instead of looking for a signature quilt pattern I need to find good blocks to make one! I love the snowball pattern and have it in my future but I want a little bit larger of an area for the signature space.

look for album blocks

A very simple but good looking when they are all put together signature/friendship/album block is The X-Quisite block. You can put several of them together to create a secondary pattern of floating stars or X's & O's.

http://www.fvqg.org/01archiv/0201.htm The link is for a single 6" block. Normally, when you purposely set out to make a secondary design, you'd make the single block much smaller but for a signature type block, 6" is a good size.

Square in a square, you could make it as big as you need the signature area to be :D:D:D

I'm making one with ten minute blocks.
