I had the privilege of meeting her in Paducah several years ago. That is STILL the highlight of my trip. She is a keeper! I have several of her books and my goal is to collect them all.

I would like to meet her one day too. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience.

Got past that and found she was excellent at simplifying the math and patterns for quilters of all abilities. I'm sure she started a lot of quilters on their paths with her well photographed step by step books and rulers. Her son Ryan is also very personable. Glad you met her!

I think that's because she used to be a kindergarten teacher. I think that's the way I remember her beginnings.

I'd love to meet her, she seems like a hoot on the videos I've seen of her.

I would love to meet her also. She seems so nice on TV. Maybe someday that ship will come in too.

She is my idol.
She worked in special education in Pennsylvania and she has dyslexia according to an article in a quilt magazine that I cut out.
She explained on one of her shows why she throws scraps over her shoulder.
When starting out in videos while filming they told her not to use the scrap basket just get rid of them. So she threw them over her shoulder.
I love watching videos on her website.

Her manner of speaking used to annoy me too until I heard her say she was a special ed teacher. I bet the kids loved her. She has a book/pattern I saw at Joanns named after her son, Orions Star.
