Send Me Creative Prompts!
Hello all, my friend MJ and I are stitching away doing a block a day for 100 days based on a daily prompt. Our aim was to kickstart our creativity, riffing off a daily prompt, which is pushing us to build our design muscles, and pull out our bag of piecing techniques.
I have searched many artistic prompt sites to source our daily prompts, none are really right for this job, but I pull from each one. So...I would like to curate a list of quilting prompts, shooting for a year's worth to begin with. If you would all post your list of the 10 prompts that would be most likely to get your quilt-y creative juices flowing, that would be fab! I will collate the prompts in a word file and send it out to all participants/post it in a blog when complete. Many thanks, Janet some prompts that I really liked: -under the sea -the tide has gone out -ghosts and spirits haunt these woods -my favourite food -coffee -a warm and cozy tea room -the moon is full -the river of time -what lies ahead |

I don't quilt that way (with prompts), but will be watching this thread. I'm sure I can learn something.

Would these work for you?

I'm thinking that song titles might also work. e.g. "Joy to the World", "Que Sera, Sera", "Light my Fire", "Scarborough Fair"

Perfect! Love the prompts and the idea of song titles....keep them coming1

Look through some of the old monthly postcard swaps on the board. they have the same kind of concept for their themes and may give you some ideas. have fun!

I love this idea for the prompts. Here's a few from a not very imaginative person. I hope you post your blocks as you go and let us know your inspiration thought or saying. I realized as I was thinking of these that a lot would have to be specific fabrics or applique.
