I'm wondering if anyone is doing the September Fab Shop Hop. I've found all the blocks except for the Wyoming Valley block. I keep getting to the prize registration page that shows that I've found it, but when I try to save and print it, it turns out to be the Silent Star, which I already have. If anyone has it, will you share it with me? I have all the others to share with you if you need something. Wyoming Valley is the only one I'm missing.

How do you think they do this? Do you have to click on a certain number of shops before they'll give you the last one? The blocks are all numbered, and Wyoming Valley would be #13 for me. But the one that keeps turning up is #12. I'm thinking I'm not sufficiently frustrated yet, and so the last one won't be revealed.

Last spring they did the same thing. You find 12 blocks and a the end of the month they give directions for the 13th block along with directions to finish your quilt. Same thing this time. You'll have to wait until the 30th. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't seen that another series of patterns was up.

I just went and read about it.... on the website it actually says to collect 13 blocks and at the end of the hop if you have found all of those, the 14th block will be available to you.

I just started so I haven't found all of the blocks yet.

i have been participating in the fabshophops for 10 years now, it always makes me sad to hear people who go in on the first day and find all their bunnies & blocks. the program is set up to take the whole month and each day that you find at least one bunnie you are in the prize drawing for that day (there are daily drawings) if you find all the bunnies in one day then you are not in any of the daily prize drawings for the rest of the month. saturdays are double drawing day, so if you find at least one bunnie on Saturday you are in the drawings twice that day.
also, when they have blocks available too they move around, so it does no good to ask where one is because although thats where i may have found it it may be somewhere else by the time you go there, and besides, it's against the rules to give out the locations. there are of course the big drawings at the end that everyone who participated are included in but you really lessen your chances of winning something if you do it all at once.
and yes, people do win; i can say out of 40+ hops (at least 4 a year for 10 years) i have probably won at least a $10 gift certificate 30 or more times and found some great new shops to shop with.

I have only done two of them and I won $10 in July. I have discovered many new shops and marked them as favorites. I have also signed up for a few newsletters from my favorites. They are always sending out specials. Great fun!

Yes, I've participated in three, and won $10 twice. Maybe I'm cynical, but I always think the $10 does more for the merchants than it does for the recipient. For one thing, $10 won't go far and so if I were to actually use it, I would end up spending more than I wanted to. Plus, $10 about covers the shipping and nothing else.

Now, I know $10 is $10, and if I found a $10 bill on the sidewalk, I would certainly stop to pick it up. But when I go to the shop where I'm told to use it, I never see anything I'd want to use it on without feeling as if I'd shot myself in the foot by spending my "winnings."

I looked at this. Actually, there are 14 blocks this time around, 13 in the main part of the quilt and then a 14th block in each of the four corners of the quilt.

I used it on a pattern. WIth the shipping, it was still less than I would have paid locally...if I could have found it locally.
