Setting triangles

My friend was challenged to make a quilt using only stash. She thought it would be a good times to use her earth tone collection (years of collecting 1 yard cuts). Of course it was scrappy 16 inch blocks set on point. Problem was she have large pieces in that color family. She collected several browns, golds, green & burgundy fabrics. Cut into strips & made a strata. Cut those into the right sized squares to make her setting triangles. It looked great, as if she had planned it. Another useful tip.

I bet that turned out very neat looking. Thanks for sharing a great idea.

Meant to say she didn't have large yardage of fabric to make her setting triangles.
