I was wondering how long the adhesive last and if it would damage the surface of a Vintage Sewing Machine, such as remove the decals?

I bought one "guide" that after a few blocks didn't stay in place. Kind of leary now.

Cut down the drawn line and bingo - 2 triangle squares! I know there are links for this method - anybody have one?
