Can we see a picture or link to one? I've never heard of that one before.

I recently saw one but I can't remember where!!! I wanted to make one with Kaffe Fassett fabrics but the finished size was too small for my liking and it's the kind of pattern that I can't figure out how to enlarge.

If you are thinking of the Spin Me Around pattern, a friend in my quilt guild loves to turn spare blocks into children's quilts.

I want to try the Spin Me Around pattern, too! It looks fun!

It says you need 54 inch, of width of fabric, for backing, so I am assuming it will be a child's or lap quilt that's about 42-44 wide by 54 long. It looks like this is the whole quilt, not a repeat of blocks, because the center square is 11.5 inches. It calls for 14 strips 2.5 inch if I remember...I just read it-lol

It's called Spin Me Round Quilt, not Spin Me Around Quilt - Spin me round Quilt - free pattern

Since I like big quilts (queen size etc.) I would probably make four blocks of this since it is a finished quilt size of 46" x 46". I'd make Two across and Two down with a border or two.

Or, you could make the strips 2.5" instead of the 4.5" and make the center square smaller as well and make as many blocks as you need for the measurement/size you want.

Or even, make the strips wider and the center wider and make it just like the picture would look as a larger quilt.

If you look further down the page, you can download the pdf of the free pattern, where it says 'Download Free Pattern: Spin Me Round Quilt. I'll try to put it here: https://www.handmadeguilders.com/dow...lt-Pattern.pdf

Do you use FaceBook? A group there, Scrap Quilt Enthusiasts, featured many of these a couple of years ago. Lorraine Mooney posted one, someone asked how it was done, and it took off. She ended up writing some basic directions with various size blocks and many put their own spin on it.

I am trying to link an album that has just a few of the ones that were done. Not sure if non members can see it? https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4482500&type=3

I've sent her a message to ask if I may share her written instructions with this group, as I know many do not use FB. Will follow up when I hear back.
