I just bought a sew slip and tried it and I love it. That stuff is slippery, quilt just slides and reliefs so much tension on arms and shoulders..

It's similar to the Supreme Slider - a teflon sheet that you put under the needle and it helps the quilt glide along freely.

They were giving these away on the Quilting Show I watched today...the fabric really slid around on it very well :D:D:D

I have one, too. It is so handy when i am doing free motion quilting. The fabric moves so easy. I really like it.

I find it easier on my back if I do not roll the quilt when quilting. I just kind of scrunch it under the machine and kind of fan fold it in my lap. Having a table or chair next to hold it on the left helps alot too. :)
