Oh, I would love it as well. There's none around here either.

My sewing group met on the internet. Someone asked if all the Houston area ladies would like to meet for lunch and that was 4 years ago, we still try to meet at least once a month.

Go up to the user list at the top of the page and search by location. Then you could invite all the people who are in your area. That is how I got into a group.

One of my friends in our quilt guild decided to do this over a year ago. We meet on the 4th Saturday of each month(except Nov., Dec., & Apr.) all day in a local church activities bldg. They have the great big round tables and in the middle are the big rectangle ones to lay out our quilts on. We just meet to have fun,finish projects, and offer advice. We also take turns fixing meals.
