Technical issues are a pain. The blocks look very pretty and I'm sure your friend will appreciate what you're doing for her.

Thanks for all your support. I took my machine to my repair shop yesterday and he fixed it while I browsed in the quilt shop (stop 1 of the shop hop that began yesterday in CT) There was NO charge. He explained the problem and how to avoid reoccurance. What a great guy!
