Amn't sure if you mean 1000 dollars or pounds? The HQV quilt range come in around £1000 range though I've no idea whatsoever about how our prices compare with US. Good luck in finding the right machine.

If I were to purchase another machine for quilting I would be purchasing a Juki. The ones I looked at have large harps and after sewing on vintage machines, I realize that I mostly use a straight stitch. Their owners love them, easy to maintain, just a little oil and love. I think they are well within your price.

Juki TL2010q...I love mine! I bought it almost 2 years ago sight unseen after reading reviews. It's been perfect right out of the box. Not fussy about thread and I never have to mess with the tension. The throat is 9" and it's got a taller opening, so you can really fit a larger quilt in it.

Definitely Juki for the money it's your best bet. Good luck with your purchase.

I second for the Juki. I didn't sold it after I got my longarm and frame because I still prefer it for small quilt and micro stippling.
