Even though I have a different machine I think the info about how to solve this problem easily is a good one. Never thought about the plastic bobbin causing a problem because thread is wound too tightly. Have to admit I never thought that I should wind bobbins slowly - everyday I learn something new here on the message board. May in Jersey

This is another reason that I love the sidewinder... I don't have to worry about that happening to me. Glad to hear that you found a fix though

I think you must be a genius or something. I would put in an order for a halo for you but I suspect you already have one. I just removed the thread and the bobbin slid right off. Now I can get back to sewing and not go to the repair shop. Thank you so much.
