I just brought home my new/old Singer 301A and I have everything but the manual for it...Would the manual for the 301 be the same as the one for the 301A? It was my moms machine and the one I learned to sew on. It runs like a champ and all I had to do was oil it. I don't think it has been used since the early 70's.

Cindy,
The manual should be the same. I think the A means it was made in Anderson, SC. |
Thanks. I wasn't sure because they don't look like the same machine!

How nice to have something like this left from your childhood. :)
I have the 301 manual scanned - if you want a digital copy, send me a pm with your email address. I've had mine for three years or so and never really liked it much until I needed a portable to take to church to sew costumes for the Christmas play. That little thing was SLICK! :) |
I am forever losing manuals to everything and then cry to my daughter. She gets on line and finds them...give it a try.

Yes, Exactlly the same machine.

I just bought one on ebay for $12.00. I have two 301A black long bed machines and I love sewing on them!!
