Best of luck to you, Gina in Swartz Creek, MI

I just bought a refurbished machine online from a Brother dealer and got a 25yr warranty...?

I too am looking for a small light weight machine and have decided on a Brother. Had one 40 yrs ago and it was a gem. Walmart carries them.

Yes, with a dealer you may be able to get a warranty, but from Craigs list or an individual, the sewing machine most likely will be as is.Buyer beware.....

I bought a Brother on Amazon, and when the timing belt slipped a local repair place fixed it for free because I still had the packing slip showing it was less than a year old and so still under warranty.
