I too am looking for a small light weight machine and have decided on a Brother. Had one 40 yrs ago and it was a gem. Walmart carries them.

Yes, with a dealer you may be able to get a warranty, but from Craigs list or an individual, the sewing machine most likely will be as is.Buyer beware.....
