Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Pie's in the oven and potatoes waiting to go in. So I'm heading to the sewing room for a little bit.

I got a flyer from Joanne's and saw a sewing table on sale and thought I'd like to get one (told hubby to get it for me for Christmas). It is small and portable and on sale for $79.99.

Does anybody have something similar and is it worth spending "anything" on? I don't have a large room and certainly can't afford a really nice wooden table, but I am currently using a banquet table that seems too high for me. I like the drop down section for the machine.

Any comments on this table?

Thanks all
Roxanne

do you have a link or pic to know which one you are asking about?

I don't know which one you mean, but I have a SewEzi table, and I love it. I have it set up at right angles to my Horn cabinet, so have two machines I can work on, right there, ready to go!

It's almost the same height as my cabinet, but collapses, folds, and fits in a bag (supplied) and can be wheeled along from car to workshops too. What is more, you can get different inserts to fit round almost every machine known to woman. I presently have three - for two different Berninas, and my Featherweight.

It's a sew much more that usually retails for $169.99. Here's the link. http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/c...wing+furniture

That is nice I would go and get it and tell him Merry Christmas too.

There is a "Gidget" table avail, Also a II model that has a bigger opening to accommodate the larger machines.
You can also order an acrylic piece to fit your machine into the opening so there are no gaps.
I'm not sure if they're in stores, but I do know Leah Day sells them on her website.

I have a similar one and it's wonderful!

I bought the same table last year at Joann's. It is small, but that works for me as I don't have a lot of room. It is fairly sturdy and it doesn't bounce around when I sew or embroider. When I want to work on something large like FMQ, I just butt it up against a larger table.

For my machines, the opening is a bit large and I tend to lose stuff behind it down the hole. lol I use a plastic cutting mat from Walmart (learned about those from someone on this board!) and I tape it with painter's tape to cover the hole. I don't have any problems that way.

Overall, I am happy with the table and I would buy it again at that price. :)

Hope this helps.

If you hate it, you can always return it.

I have it. I did have some frustrating moments with a lot of bounce but emailed Arrow (who makes it) and they helped me solve the problem. Make sure that the metal supports under the table are clicked in really well.
