Has anyone sent cooling or heating items of clothing to our soldiers? What do they need to use to help them to face the elements?

I know of a website called Emergency Essentials that sells canned foods and 72 hr. stuff like backpacks, special heating and cooling blankets, etc. go to : www.beprepared.com. Ph. # 1-800-999-1863.
I, myself, have not sent anything to soldiers, but I hope this site can help.

Sand scarves are another useful item. The soldiers in the desert use then to keep sand out of their eyes and out of their airways during sand storms. The instructions I got are that they should be made of 100% cotton interlock (no poly -it's too hot) and cut about 6 inches wide across the width of the fabric and serged on all sides.
