Sewing Silicone Spray
 

I watched Patsy Thompson doing FMQ and she had a can of sewing silicone spray she used on her extension sewing table before she did some fmqing.
i can't find it. does anyone know where I can get a can. I think that might help me a lot.

Hmmm The directions for the spray say to spray the quilt. I would not be willing to spray anything like that on my quilt since it does not say anything about it washing out. I would also be careful of the painted surfaces since it indicates metal but does not say anything about painted surfaces.

I think I would go with car polish.

Use baby powder, it has silicone in it.

I've seen it at Hancock fabrics.

I just happened to see a can of this in the clearance bin at Hancocks the other day. I wasn't quite sure
how to use it so I left it! genius me! duh!

A silicone baking sheet raked on the bed of your sewing machine with a hole cut for the needle works and can be usd over and over.

thanks, i have the supreme slider but it drove me nuts. car wax maybe. the spray looked like something i wouldn't mind putting on my acrylic extension table. If i find a can, i'll read what it says thoroughly.

I refurbish vintage sewing machines. One of the products that is highly recommended by "vintage" Singer repairmen to both clean and polish old machines is ProtectAll. ProtectAll not only gives a shine but also "creates a super slick, anti-static finish" (quote from product label). This stuff works -fabric just slides around on the old machine beds and the machine head glistens. I've even used it on a fiberglass shower stall that was getting hard to clean from hard water build-up. It comes in a spray bottle and was located in the RV supply section of WalMart.
