shark steam iron UGH!
anybody have this iron ? I just got it from target few days ago I'm taking it back not impress with it for quilting as you all know for pressing blocks we are suppose to gently pounce and not iron the way we would a garment and every time I press a seam that dang red warning shut off light starts flashing until I push it back and forth then the light stays off it's a pain in the butt as you can't just lift and set it down to press seams on a quilt block as long as I'm ironing back and forth it's great and steams good just not good for pressing quilt blocks dose anyone have this iron and do you have the same problem? so now I'm looking for another iron probably just get a cheapie from walmart.

You really wouldn't know about this until you get it home, so thanks for the heads-up!

I have a shark and love it, no problems with red light or anything else. I would take it back, something is defiantly wrong with it.

I have a shark and love it.

I have one also and love mine. I've had 3 Rowena irons and really liked them, they just didn't last long. I like my shark much better. I think yours is faulty.

I just got one day before yesterday. Used it all day, no problems. Take it back, sounds like there's something wrong with it.

I have used my Shark for about 3-4 years and, while I have some complaints about it, that has not been an issue with mine. I'm with the others....think I'd return it. I really dislike the auto shut-off, though.

I too have a shark , it does shut off automatically if not in use for awhile . It sounds like yours is defective.
